SING OUT! VOCAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

This course provides participants with a foundational knowledge of the various elements of choral music. Our 2-hour practical sessions explore skills in music that are of benefit to members and directors of choirs involved in various genres, including classical, popular and traditional music and develops core skills in choral directing, while aural classes enable singers to develop their perception and execution of rhythm, pitch and tonal structures and sight-reading.

AIMS OF THE PROGRAM

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Participants must be 18 years and above.

Background in music is not required

We have limited spaces for 15 sopranos, 15 altos, 10 tenors and 10 bases.

Registration deadline and payment is 7th January 2022

DURATION

The course will take two terms to complete. At the end of the course, candidates will sit for the ABRSM choral exam.

DATE AND TIME

Lessons are held every wednesday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm

LESSON FEE PER TERM

The fee per term is kshs. 12,000/-

Exam fee will be confirmed later.


This course is designed for people who want to learn guitar in a group setting. Through practical sessions, discussions and teamwork assignments, you will develop your practical techniques, sight-reading, tone quality and a variety of other skills that are vital to playing the guitar. In combination with some regular practice, you can also use the opportunity to gain new confidence, independence and agility on your instrument.

DATE AND TIME Every Tuesday 3:00pm - 4:00pm, 4:30pm - 5:30pm, 6:00pm - 7:00pm

COURSE DURATION

The course will take two terms and each term consists of 12 sessions.

Term one – 12 sessions of one hour once per week
Term two – 12 sessions of one hour once per week

Since practice is very essential in learning an instrument, students are allowed to come for practice daily at no extra charge.

LESSON FEE PER TERM

Fee per term is kshs. 12,000/-


This course will introduce students to the theory of music, providing them with the skills needed to read and write Western music notation, as well as to understand and analyse music. This course covers the fundamentals of Western music theory, from the absolute basics to some more advanced concepts and, as such, is the perfect course for beginners and more experienced musicians alike.
